Discover the Portuguese companies that will be present at MICAM in Milan

Twenty-nine Portuguese companies, a third of which are from Felgueiras, are participating in the 102nd edition of MICAM Milano, the largest international footwear fair, which runs from September 13 to 15 in Milan. The Portuguese presence comes in a difficult context for the sector, with national footwear exports declining 2.1% in the first half of 2026, to 813 million euros — a smaller drop than that of Italy (4.3%) and Spain (7.3%). APICCAPS executive director Paulo Gonçalves acknowledges that the industry is going through a very difficult period, but argues that Portugal has managed to resist better than many competitors. The participation in MICAM, integrated into a joint promotional strategy with AICEP and supported by European funds, aims to strengthen the positioning of the national industry in an increasingly competitive market.
