A 10-year-old boy remained trapped in a well in Algeria for four days. The alert was raised when the child fell into the well, triggering an urgent rescue operation.
Rescue and salvage teams worked day and night to try to remove the child alive from the site. The efforts focused on saving the boy throughout this entire period.
Despite all the efforts of the emergency teams, the boy's body was eventually pulled from the well this weekend, four days after the accident. The rescue operation did not have the positive outcome that was expected.
