FC Felgueiras lost by a single goal to nil on their trip to Vizela's home ground, in a match from the fifth round of Liga 2. The Felgueiras team never managed to recover from the bad start to the match.
Armando Lopes was sent off at the 7-minute mark, after the referee reviewed the incident at VAR. With one less player on the pitch, Felgueiras saw Vizela score at 21 minutes, through a powerful shot from Miguel Pires that put the home team ahead.
Despite being a man down, Moreno Teixeira's team managed to respond and kept the game open until the last second, showing a good reaction even when at a numerical disadvantage.
With this result, Felgueiras remains in 11th position with 7 points, while Vizela moved up to fourth place with 10 points. In the next round, Felgueiras hosts FC Penafiel on September 12 at 2 PM, in a match that will be broadcast on Sport TV +.
