PENALVA DO CASTELO: II Wine Trail took participants through Sezures' traditions and landscapes

The parish of Sezures, in the municipality of Penalva do Castelo, hosted on August 30 the second edition of the "Wine Trail", a walk dedicated to the landscapes, heritage and local traditions. The event was promoted by the Parish Council of Sezures and was attended by several people who walked a route through the region. This was the second edition of this walk, with the first edition having provided the inspiration for its repetition. The trail allowed participants to discover and appreciate the natural beauty and cultural heritage of the parish of Sezures.

Almeirim tennis player conquers first official singles title in Torres Novas

Rui Tavares, tennis player from Associação 20 Kms de Almeirim, won his first official singles title by winning the VIII End of Holidays Tournament at the Clube de Ténis de Torres Novas, in the under-18 category. In the final, he defeated João Pedro Marques, from Jaime Caldeira Tennis Academy, by the scores of 6/0 and 6/4. Earlier, Tavares had defeated Bernardo Vilanova and Samer Sattut in the group stage. The tournament, held on September 5th and 6th, was part of the official calendar of the Portuguese Tennis Federation as a level C event, in the under-14 and under-18 categories.
