The Judicial Police, through the Directorate of Lisbon and Vale do Tejo, arrested a man on December 1st. The suspect is an uncle who allegedly raped his 13-year-old niece.
The alleged crime occurred over an extended period of time, during which the aggressor allegedly forced the minor to keep the abuse secret.
The minor finally revealed what was happening, which allowed the authorities to become aware of the case and initiate the investigation.
The detainee was brought before the court, where they learned of the precautionary measures applied by the Public Ministry.
