On the 12th, the musical entertainment includes Versus Tuna, from the University of Algarve, at 8pm, singer Elena Correia at 9pm, and a dance at 10:30pm with accordionist Débora Machado. On the 13th, activities begin at 3pm with "Luís Simenta sings Alentejo", followed by the traditional Accordion Players Meeting, now in its 37th edition.
In parallel, the Monchique Hunting and Fishing Club will hold the 14th "3 sevens" Tournament, a card game in pairs. Registrations, which are limited, run until September 11 through the contacts 967908965 or 282912871.
José Gonçalo da Silva, president of the Monchique Parish Council, says that this year brings novelties and that the executive sought to offer visitors the best that is made in the region and the best local gastronomy. The local official concluded that the event ends up being a moment of generational gathering in a place of traditions.
