The Municipality of Tábua inaugurated the Venda da Serra Biomass Park, located in the parish of Mouronho. This is the second infrastructure of this type to be installed in the municipality, following the first one already existing in the municipality.
The new park covers an area of approximately 5,000 square meters and was designed for the reception of forest and agricultural residues. The main objective is to facilitate the disposal, collection and management of these residues, promoting a more efficient use of materials resulting from rural activity.
This infrastructure is part of the municipality's rural fire prevention strategy, by providing an adequate solution for the destination of forest residues. The correct management of these materials contributes to reducing the amount of fuel available in forest areas during periods of highest fire risk.
