José Sócrates filed a criminal complaint against prosecutor Rosário Teixeira for alleged false statements made in court. The complaint was made public through a note to which SIC had access.
The former prime minister explains that the magistrate initially "denied having spoken with journalists in 2014", before his arrest.
However, when confronted with documents that proved otherwise, the prosecutor "admitted the contact he had previously denied", which led Sócrates to file the criminal complaint against the magistrate.
