Insured individuals of the National Social Security Institute (INSS) who need to undergo a medical examination to obtain a disability benefit must go to an agency on the scheduled date and time, bringing all necessary medical documentation. The examination takes an average of 15 to 30 minutes, depending on the complexity of the case. During the examination, the medical examiner analyzes the submitted documentation, performs a clinical examination, and interviews the insured person about their condition and treatment.
After completing the medical examination, the worker can check the result in two ways: through the Meu INSS app or website by selecting the "Disability Benefit Result" option, or by calling the 135 phone helpline. When consulting by phone, it is necessary to provide the protocol number and CPF. INSS states that the result is usually released for consultation starting at 9 PM on the same day as the examination.
To access through Meu INSS, the insured person must go to the website meu.inss.gov.br or open the Meu INSS app on their phone, log in with their Gov.br account using their CPF number and registered password, and follow the steps indicated to check the result of the disability benefit.
