BCSD Portugal – Business Council for Sustainable Development – celebrated 25 years of activity with the announcement of a new visual identity. The renewal was created by Luís Mileu Studio and aims to reflect the organization's evolution, maintaining the same mission but with greater ambition. The new brand is based on four central dimensions: leadership, credibility, collaboration and innovation.
One of the central elements of the new identity is the sustainability triangle, now elevated to the main symbol of the brand. The color palette stems from the three pillars of the triangle, associated with the environmental, social and governance dimensions (ESG). The renewal aims to make the brand more contemporary, consistent and flexible, without breaking with the previous identity.
The organization brings together more than 200 companies and national stakeholders, representing different sectors and business dimensions. The sales volume of members corresponds to approximately 10% of national GDP. Rita Nabeiro, president of the board of BCSD Portugal, stated that the new identity aims to preserve the credibility and accumulated experience, but with renewed ambition and greater capacity for mobilization towards transformation.
The annual conference of BCSD Portugal, scheduled for October, will have as its central question the future of sustainability and the need to do things differently given the profound transformation of the world. The organization intends to continue affirming sustainability as a strategic dimension of the economy and to mobilize the Portuguese business community for a transformation with impact on businesses, people and the planet.
