A homemade grenade was seized during a joint operation by the Civil and Military Police of Espírito Santo on the night of last Friday (4). The improvised explosive was found at one of the addresses linked to a criminal faction in the city of Pinheiros, in the north of the state.
Two properties were subject to search and seizure warrants. During the operations, officers also found two firearms, ammunition, and approximately 3.7 kilograms of drugs.
The operation was made possible thanks to the police intelligence work, which identified the connection of the addresses to a 23-year-old man, identified as a member of a criminal faction. The suspect's identity has not been disclosed and he is under investigation for involvement in recent clashes between rival groups in the region.
The action was carried out by civil police officers from the Pinheiros Police Station, with support from agents of the Special Operations Company of the Military Police.
