An earthquake hit Venezuela, causing devastation and humanitarian needs in the affected population. A Portuguese association responded to the disaster by sending humanitarian aid to the South American country.
Ten containers with essential goods for the earthquake victims were sent. The cargo includes food, medicine, personal hygiene products and surgical material, meeting the basic survival and health care needs of the population.
Of the 10 containers, seven departed from Lisbon and the remaining three left from the Port of Leixões, in the north of the country. The international logistics operation mobilized two departure points in Portugal to ensure that the aid reached its final destination.
