University of Coimbra begins today to welcome its new students

The University of Coimbra begins today the Welcome and Integration Week for new students, with activities scheduled until Friday. The institution aims to welcome the freshmen and facilitate their transition to academic life.

The rector of UC expressed the intention that the new students feel "at home" and be treated as part of "a family". This approach aims to create an environment of belonging and welcome right from the start of the academic journey.

The integration week includes several activities designed to promote interaction among students and their familiarization with the campus and university services.

Secondary school completion rate is lowest in Lisbon, Setúbal and Algarve
