Festival F announced its return to Faro's historic center between September 2 and 4, 2027, for its 12th edition, one day after the closing of the 11th edition held in Vila Adentro. The organization, composed of Faro City Council, municipal company Ambifaro, and Faro Municipal Theatre – Teatro das Figuras, revealed plans to maintain its commitment to Portuguese music and strengthen its focus on Lusophony.
The 2026 edition featured 67 concerts distributed across eight stages installed in the streets, squares, plazas, and walls of Faro's historic center. Among the standout moments were the performances by Ricardo Ribeiro with the Algarve Jazz Orchestra and Carminho with the Algarve Orchestra, as well as artists such as Slow J, Bárbara Tinoco, The Gift, Moonspell, D.A.M.A, Chico da Tina, and ÁTOA.
The approach to the Lusophone space was one of the hallmarks of this edition, with the presence of Tz da Coronel e dos Pelados, who reinforced the connection between Portugal and Brazil, and Nelson Freitas, a reference in contemporary Cape Verdean music. The organization considered that the festival has become an "unmissable brand for Faro," attracting regional, national, and international audiences.
The mayor of Faro, António Miguel Pina, announced that in 2027 the festival will consolidate its dimension without growing in the number of concerts, maintaining openness to innovation in the cultural offering and the experience provided to the audience.
