The trial of a man accused of sexual crimes against 361 children online began in Finland. The man faces charges related to sexual crimes committed through digital platforms against a large number of child victims.
The investigation began when, in 2022, police carried out a search of the man's mobile phone. This search was linked to another criminal case and revealed thousands of videos and images of unidentified children.
Finnish police revealed this information in December, after authorities analyzed the material found on the suspect's mobile device. Authorities were able to identify 361 children as victims of the crimes committed by the man.
The case is being closely monitored by Finnish authorities, representing one of the largest cases involving sexual crimes against children through digital means in the Nordic country.
