Boat found on Sesimbra beach suspected of being linked to drug trafficking

A boat was found on a beach in Sesimbra and is under suspicion of being linked to drug trafficking. The GNR and Maritime Police were alerted to the situation.

Authorities indicated they found no evidence of any migrant landing in that area, after an indication to that effect had emerged.

The case is being investigated by the competent authorities.

A Boeing 767-300ER cargo plane, operating as Prime Air flight 7598 for Amazon Air, went off the runway while landing at Miami International Airport in the United States on Sunday, resulting in five dead and five injured, three in serious condition. The aircraft, coming from San Juan, Puerto Rico, left the runway during landing, struck vehicles nearby and caught fire. Over 60 firefighters were dispatched to the scene, managing to extinguish the fire in about an hour. The FAA – Federal Aviation Administration – opened an investigation and ordered the closure of all runways and taxiways at the airport.
