Benfica's youth team achieved an emphatic 4-0 thrashing against Estoril, thus maintaining their impeccable run at the start of Series 2 of the National Championship. The match took place at Field number 2 of CFTD, in Linha, and the team coached by João Faria entered the game as dominators from the first minute.
The first goal came at 15 minutes, with Bernardo Rodrigues opening the scoring. Before halftime, Simão Lopes beat the opposing nets at 42 minutes, extending the advantage for the red and whites.
In the second half, Benfica maintained the same offensive dynamic. Ruben Tavares extended the lead to three goals at 47 minutes, and Rúben Marques closed the final count at the 71st minute, with a precise shot that established the final score at 4-0.
With this emphatic victory, Benfica has four wins in four matches played in the competition, also having one match in hand on the calendar. The young red and white team demonstrated an imperial display throughout the entire match.
