Flamengo decided to block a departure of forward Gonzalo Plata after the failure of the negotiation with Dynamo Moscow. The club understands that another team would hardly pay the amount the Russians were willing to invest in the Ecuadorian. The current intention of the red and black is to use the athlete and demand that he fulfill the contract.
The desire of Flamengo, however, was not the same as the player's staff. Plata delayed his return to Rio de Janeiro so that his representatives could try to find another destination for a new deal. In the backstage, the striker's agents also try to force a valorization of the player.
The Carioca club rules out any new sale of the striker at this moment. The preference is to keep the player in the squad and use him during the season, even after the collapse of the deal with the Russian team.
This Sunday, Gonzalo Plata published a statement on his social media in which he states he is 100% focused on Flamengo after the failure of the deal with Dynamo Moscow.
