The Union of Insurance Activity Workers (STAS) and the National Association of Insurance Agents and Brokers (APROSE) reached an agreement for the revision of the Collective Labor Agreement (CLA) in the insurance distribution sector for 2026. The new agreement establishes increases in minimum remuneration ranging between 2.62% and 8.46%, with retroactive effects from January 1st, 2026.
With this update, the minimum mandatory value in Band A rises to 2,550 euros (increase of 2.62%), while in Band B the remuneration increases to 1,765 euros (increase of 2.67%). In Band C, the minimum salary is set at 1,350 euros (plus 3.00%), rising to 1,205 euros in Band D (increase of 3.41%) and to 1,175 euros in Band E (plus 3.58%). The largest increases are concentrated in the lower tiers: Band F grows 7.66% to 980 euros, while Band G records the highest increase, rising 8.46% to set the sector's minimum salary at 955 euros.
Compared to the 2025 agreement, where minimum salaries ranged from 880 euros at the base to 2,484 euros at the top, the new table represents a significant direct monthly gain across all categories. At the top of the career ladder, Band A gains an additional 65 euros per month, while at the base, Band G records an increase of 75 euros monthly compared to the 880 euros in 2025. STAS also highlighted that the monthly base remuneration is mandatorily updated according to the agreed percentage for each category, even if the worker already receives an amount higher than the minimum floor of their band.
The meal allowance increases to 10 euros per day in 2026, consolidating an increase from the 9.50 euros in 2025. Regarding service expenses in Portugal, the full daily allowance rises to 75.41 euros, the compensation per kilometer for service travel is set at 0.46 euros, and the daily allowance for service expenses abroad is set at 150 euros.
