Rock In Rio: 6 essential tips for you to enjoy the festival without harming your health

Rock In Rio, the world's largest music festival, began this Friday (4). Due to the scale of the event, it is important to take some precautions to enjoy the shows without putting your health at risk.

Endocrinologist Deborah Beranger, with a postgraduate degree in Endocrinology and Metabolism from the Santa Casa de Misericórdia do Rio de Janeiro (SCMRJ), warns that it is essential to be careful about dehydration during the festival days, especially with the intense heat. The recommendation is to carry a full bottle of fresh water, as well as eat fruits such as apples, pears, and melon, which help hydrate the body.

According to the specialist, it is not worth going hours without drinking water just to avoid having to go to the bathroom and losing your spot near the stage, since, with the heat of recent days, we sweat more and the risk of dehydration is high.

Isotonic drinks are also recommended, as they help replenish mineral salts lost through sweat, such as sodium, magnesium, and potassium.
