Government extends deadline until end of year to complete TAP privatization

The Portuguese Government extended until the end of the year the deadline to conclude TAP's privatization. The information was announced by the Minister of the Presidency, Leitão Amaro, last Friday.

The Executive will now initiate final negotiations with the two candidates that submitted binding offers to purchase 44.9% of TAP. These two competitors are the Franco-Dutch company Air France-KLM and the German Lufthansa.

With this deadline extension, the privatization process of the Portuguese airline advances to a more concrete negotiation phase with the potential buyers interested in the state stake.

STAS and APROSE agree on salary increases up to 8.46% in 2026

The Union of Insurance Activity Workers (STAS) and the National Association of Insurance Agents and Brokers (APROSE) reached an agreement for the revision of the Collective Labor Agreement in the insurance distribution sector for 2026, with increases in minimum remuneration between 2.62% and 8.46%, with retroactive effects from January 1st.
