The video shows a huge hippo chasing a vehicle traveling on a rural road in the Magdalena Medio region, in the department of Antioquia, Colombia. The moment was recorded from inside the car itself and shared on social media in recent days.
The incident occurred in the village of Las Mercedes, in the municipality of Puerto Triunfo. In the footage, it is possible to see the animal running behind the vehicle for a few seconds, until it slows down and stops the chase.
According to the post, no one was injured and no type of incident occurred during the encounter. The case, however, has renewed concern about the safety of both people and animals in the face of this type of spontaneous interaction, without any care or proper management.
