A floating island about 140 to 150 metres long and approximately 70 to 75 metres wide is surprising inhabitants, sailors and specialists in Canada. The phenomenon began when the land mass covered in trees mysteriously appeared in a lake in the region.

The island then moved after disappearing from its original location, reappearing about 30 kilometres away. This unusual movement has intrigued both local communities and specialists who are trying to explain the phenomenon.

The case has generated great media and scientific interest, with various theories being put forward to explain how a structure with trees manages to float and travel over significant distances.

Group arrested in Duque de Caxias suspected of stealing luxury cars for Comando Vermelho

Four men were arrested by the Civil Police on Sunday afternoon (6) in Duque de Caxias, in Baixada Fluminense, suspected of being part of a gang responsible for at least 20 luxury vehicle thefts in the region. The arrest was carried out by officers from the 59th Police Station (Duque de Caxias), with support from the Military Police, at the intersection of Rua Orlando Teixeira and Avenida Brigadeiro Lima e Silva. According to investigations, part of the stolen cars was destined for Comando Vermelho and taken to communities dominated by the faction in different regions of the state of Rio de Janeiro. The police reached the suspects after cross-referencing information from the municipal monitoring system and identifying the vehicle used by the group, seizing materials used in the criminal actions, such as screwdrivers and an unspecified device.
