The envoys of Donald Trump, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, visited Kyiv for the first time on Sunday. This visit marks the first time the American representatives travel to the capital of Ukraine.
On the previous Saturday, the same envoys had been in Moscow to meet with the Russian president, Vladimir Putin, in a trip that preceded the visit to Ukraine.
When the American envoys arrived in Kyiv, President Volodymyr Zelensky once again called for security guarantees as a condition to end the war.
The visit of Trump's envoys to Kyiv represents a significant development in the diplomatic efforts to resolve the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
