A road accident on the island of Fogo, in Cape Verde, resulted in 25 dead. The accident involved a bus carrying children and young people that fell from a ravine approximately 30 meters high.
Rescue operations are still underway at the scene of the accident. Authorities continue to work to rescue possible survivors and recover the victims.
The incident is described as one of the worst recent tragedies in Cape Verde, causing great shock throughout the country.
