The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Paulo Rangel, represented the Portuguese Government at the funeral ceremony for the victims of the road accident that occurred on the island of Fogo, in Cape Verde. The accident involved a bus that fell from a ravine on the road between the cities of São Filipe and Assomada. Cape Verdean authorities confirmed at least 25 deaths following the crash.
