The water supply in Teresina was interrupted in more than 140 neighborhoods on Saturday (05), causing inconvenience to the city's residents.

The utility company responsible for the service predicts that the supply will be resumed gradually starting at noon this Sunday (06).

The city faces problems in the water distribution system, and the gradual resumption indicates that the service may not be normalized immediately in all affected regions.

Group arrested in Duque de Caxias suspected of stealing luxury cars for Comando Vermelho

Four men were arrested by the Civil Police on Sunday afternoon (6) in Duque de Caxias, in Baixada Fluminense, suspected of being part of a gang responsible for at least 20 luxury vehicle thefts in the region. The arrest was carried out by officers from the 59th Police Station (Duque de Caxias), with support from the Military Police, at the intersection of Rua Orlando Teixeira and Avenida Brigadeiro Lima e Silva. According to investigations, part of the stolen cars was destined for Comando Vermelho and taken to communities dominated by the faction in different regions of the state of Rio de Janeiro. The police reached the suspects after cross-referencing information from the municipal monitoring system and identifying the vehicle used by the group, seizing materials used in the criminal actions, such as screwdrivers and an unspecified device.
