Traditional gyms are undergoing a profound transformation and becoming wellness centers. Physical training is no longer the only goal; it is now part of a complete experience that includes rest, muscle recovery, mental health, social interaction, networking, and even the possibility of handling other commitments without having to leave.
Premium models of these gyms offer much more than gym equipment. In addition to traditional locker rooms, they include ice baths, sauna, massage, physiotherapy, workspaces, body awareness classes, and individualized or nearly individualized attention to students.
Fábrica Premium is presented as the newest representative of this segment, having been inaugurated at the end of August at Rio Design Barra, in Rio de Janeiro. The unit works with a semi-private model, where one instructor serves up to three students simultaneously, and limits group classes to only ten participants.
The proposal of this new gym model is to bring the experience closer to the student, offering more personalized and exclusive service, different from traditional gyms that operate with large classes and a predominant focus on aesthetics and physical conditioning.
