A bus accident caused 25 deaths in Cape Verde, this Sunday, on Fogo Island. Most of the victims were children.

André Morais, coordinator of Civil Protection from Montijo, analyzed the accident. Morais had provided training in Civil Protection in Cape Verde, which allows him to have knowledge about the situation in the country.

The accident was considered serious and caused shock. Cape Verde's Civil Protection faces challenges in responding to this type of situation.

André Morais stated: "We need to support this brother nation", demonstrating the need for solidarity between Portugal and Cape Verde in the face of this tragedy.
