Jakarta's international airport suspended its operations due to a volcanic eruption. The suspension affects all flights until 11:30 pm, Lisbon time.
As a result of this interruption, 209 flights were affected, impacting more than 22 thousand passengers who had planned trips through the airport.
The decision to suspend operations was taken for safety reasons, as the volcanic eruption can pose significant risks to air operations, including the possibility of volcanic ash clouds that interfere with aircraft systems.
