Roofs lifted and cars damaged: Sudden storm leaves trail of destruction
Strong winds, intense rain and hail caused several episodes of destruction during Saturday night in the municipalities of Albergaria-a-Velha and Oliveira de Azeméis. The sudden storm hit both towns violently, leaving a significant trail of material damage.
The most visible damage included roofs that were lifted by the force of the wind, as well as vehicles that were damaged by the effects of the storm. Local authorities had to intervene to respond to the emergency situation caused by the passage of the storm.
The two municipalities located in the Aveiro region were particularly affected by this adverse weather episode, which surprised the population during the night, causing alarm among residents of the most impacted areas.
