The Algarve poet Nero will participate in the fourth edition of the "Aqui vai livre" event on September 19, at 4:00 PM, in the Príncipe Real garden, in Lisbon. The initiative, curated by Elisa Scarpa and Célia Aldegalega, brings together writers from different parts of the country and promotes direct contact between authors and the public through free book launches from the garden's railing. Nero joins names such as Alberto Pereira, Luis Filipe Sarmento, Ozias Filho, Lauren Mendinueta and Ricardo Gil Soeiro.

Nero is the author of three published books: "Oceano — O Reino das Águas" (2021), "Telúria" (2023) and "Akbar — Lunário Poético duma Alma ainda Árabe" (2025). In addition to his literary activity, he is a reciter and a teacher of Portuguese and Portuguese Literature in Silves. The launch of his fourth book is scheduled for the coming months.

In the past year, the poet represented Portugal at the 1st Cinema and Literature Festival of Tétouan, in Morocco, and participated in the 7th Cross-Border Contemporary Art Fair of Huelva, in Spain, where he was part of the "Poesía en la Frontera" project. He also participated in the 4th Cross-Border Literary Meeting of Aracena, through the "Letras em la Raya" project.

The critic Matilde Aranha described Nero as an "author of maturation on low flame," while the Chilean journalist and poet Ricardo Olave Montecinos characterized his lyricism as "high register" and "robust," highlighting "careful and complex language" that "demands pace, re-reading."
