Hail and strong wind cause damage in Albergaria-a-Velha and Oliveira de Azeméis

On Saturday night, September 5, a violent storm hit the municipalities of Albergaria-a-Velha and Oliveira de Azeméis, causing great damage. The hailstorm, strong wind and heavy rain caused extensive damage in various areas of these localities.

The Civil Protection of Albergaria-a-Velha classified the phenomenon as an "extreme meteorological event". The storm occurred in a short period of time, but with high intensity, which contributed to the severity of the recorded damage.

The damage caused by the storm is still being assessed by the competent authorities. The populations of both localities were affected by this violent weather that occurred during the night.
