At least 22 people died in a bus accident on Fogo Island, in Cape Verde. The accident occurred when the vehicle left the road and fell from a height of approximately 30 meters.

The bus was transporting students who were on a school trip. The incident happened in the locality of Campanas de Cima, belonging to the municipality of Santa Catarina do Fogo.
