Alexandre Borges is celebrating the success of the soap opera "Quem ama cuida," where he plays the character Ulysses, who gained even more prominence last week. The actor revealed details about his life trajectory, starting with his humble origins in Santos, on the coast of São Paulo, where he was born into a middle-class family.

During the beginning of his career, Borges faced significant financial difficulties. He slept in boarding houses and, at times, ate only one meal a day, sharing the plate with a colleague. To supplement his income, he sold natural sandwiches and fruit salad on the beach during the summer months.

The actor's professional and personal maturation occurred at 24, when he received an invitation to be an assistant for a play in Portugal. In the so-called "Terrinha," he became "addicted" to Portuguese poetry and culture, experiences that contributed to his formation as an artist.

Before traveling to Portugal, Alexandre Borges had never imagined leaving the country. It was in theater, in São Paulo's capital, that he found his path and managed to establish himself professionally, building the career that led him to the current success in "Quem ama cuida."
