Avotrexate, a database created to determine the number of birds extinct by human activity, was presented today during the 27th Spanish Ornithology Congress, which is taking place in Granada.

The event also features the simultaneous holding of the 8th Iberian Congress, bringing together more than 400 researchers from Portugal and Spain.

The presentation of the database comes in the context of this congress that brings together Iberian specialists in the field of ornithology.

The objective of Avotrexate is to provide scientific data on bird extinctions caused by human activity, contributing to research in this area.
