There is a growing trend in Portugal: traveling alone has never made more sense

There is a growing trend in Portugal: traveling alone has never made more sense. Portuguese people are no longer waiting for company to pack their bags, and a new study by eDreams has proven that traveling alone is no longer a backup plan for many travelers.

The study was conducted by independent firm OnePoll with 9,000 consumers in seven countries, including Germany, Spain, the United States, France, Italy, Portugal, and the United Kingdom. The Portuguese sample included 1,000 people who have traveled in the last five years.

The results show that solo travel is far from a last resort. It has become an increasingly sought-after experience, with reasons such as the freedom to decide the pace of the trip, the possibility of meeting new people, and the desire to break away from routine convincing more and more travelers to embark on an adventure without company.
