Minister Cristiano Zanin, of the Supreme Federal Court (STF), requested on Saturday measures from the Court's presidency, the Superior Electoral Court (TSE), and the Regional Electoral Court of Paraná (TRE-PR) regarding the alleged leak of his banking and tax data that appear in the candidacy registration of former deputy Deltan Dallagnol (Novo), ex-prosecutor of Operation Car Wash (Lava Jato).
Zanin made the requests after the case was revealed by the Metrópoles portal. The documents were taken from one of the proceedings pending against Deltan at the National Council of the Public Ministry (CNMP) and included in full by the ex-prosecutor's team in the Paraná electoral court's system.
"I request your excellency to take measures in order to remedy this alleged illegality as well as to send the required communications aiming at holding those involved accountable, including in the criminal sphere," says Zanin's letter.
The defense of Deltan Dallagnol states that it attached copies of the proceedings to "respond to the challenges to his candidacy" made by Lava Jato.
