João Victor Gonçalves, actor who plays Mau Mau in the series "Quem ama again", was the victim of a homophobic attack after leaving Rock in Rio on Saturday morning (5), at the Olympic Park, in Barra da Tijuca, Southwest Zone of Rio de Janeiro.
Before the episode, João Victor enthusiastically shared on social media his look chosen for the night of partying at Rock City, expressing expectation to experience it for the first time at the festival. He wrote "First day of Rock in Rio. Let's live this experience for the first time," showing excitement about the event's programming.
The attack occurred when the actor was leaving the festival. He was followed by some boys while walking down the street and suffered comments and provocations of a homophobic nature. The situation was livestreamed by a streamer known as GH, which amplified the negative repercussion on social media. João Victor did not respond to the provocations and continued on his way.
