PCP considers that the government's policy deserves censure, but does not intend to feed Chega's demagogy and folklore. The orange and black party thus refuses to associate itself with the voting direction of a far-right party.
PCP's secretary-general, Paulo Raimundo, stated that he will not announce the voting direction on the censure motion presented by Chega, so as not to ruin the Festa do Avante, which is taking place at Quinta da Atalaia, in Seixal.
In the same speech, Paulo Raimundo added that the decision has already been made, but argued that the censure should be directed at the Government and not just the minister.
