A man approximately 40 years old and of British nationality died drowned this Friday after jumping from a tourist ferry that was making the crossing between Cambrils and Salou, in the province of Tarragona.
The incident occurred when the man threw himself from the vessel during the crossing. The authorities were alerted about the occurrence and initiated the rescue operations.
Despite the efforts of the emergency teams, it was not possible to save the man's life, who died from drowning.
The tourist ferry was making the usual route between the two coastal towns of the Costa Dorada, a region very frequented by tourists during this time of year.
