Dia de Jogo — jornal desportivo5 September 2026 at 19:28

Hull City achieved a positive result against Unai Emery's Aston Villa in a match where the home team had a clear advantage in terms of possession. The Tigers dominated the game with 73% possession, while Hull City spent the afternoon with just 27% of the ball.

Despite being inferior in control of the game, Hull City managed to survive Aston Villa's pressure. The visiting team shot 13 times throughout the game, but only one of those shots was on target against Tzolakis, Hull City's goalkeeper.

Unai Emery's Aston Villa failed to convert their territorial superiority into goals. With only one shot on target, the visiting team could not break Hull City's defense, which held firm until the end.

Hull City came away from this encounter with a positive result, demonstrating that it is possible to survive and obtain favorable results even with such little possession. Tzolakis was crucial in saving the only on-target shot he faced throughout the match.
