A 61-year-old motorcyclist sustained serious injuries this Saturday following a crash of the motorcycle he was riding. The accident occurred on National Road 369 (EN369), near Cabeço de Vide, in the municipality of Fronteira.

The victim was airlifted to Santa Maria Hospital in Lisbon to receive medical treatment. The relevant authorities were dispatched to the scene of the accident, and the usual emergency procedures for this type of incident were carried out.

The motorcyclist was riding alone on the road when he lost control of the bike, causing the vehicle to crash. The road was partially closed to traffic during the rescue and road-clearing operations.

Fire hits toy store and Mercadão de Madureira is closed

A fire broke out at a toy store in the basement of Mercadão de Madureira, in the North Zone of Rio de Janeiro, on Saturday afternoon (4).
