Three people were injured following an accident involving an ambulance from the Trofa Volunteer Firefighters and a light passenger vehicle. Two of the victims are firefighters.
The incident occurred at around 1:50 PM on Saturday, on the viaduct near the A3 junction, on Rua Dona Goncinha, in Trofa. The light vehicle allegedly swerved and entered the lane where the fire brigade ambulance was traveling, causing the collision.
The victims were assisted at the scene by the remaining personnel of the Trofa Volunteer Firefighters, who participated in the rescue operation. The causes of the light vehicle's swerve have not yet been disclosed.
