Government Guarantees Portugal Met All PRR Targets for Culture

Jornal de Negócios5 September 2026 at 15:28

The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport announced that Portugal met all the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR) targets in the Culture sector. This assurance was given by the government itself, which states it has achieved all the objectives set for this area.

According to data provided by the ministry, 330.4 million euros were mobilized for cultural projects under the PRR. This amount represents the total investment channeled to meet the targets defined in the recovery plan.

The announcement comes at a time when the final deadline for executing PRR funds approaches, which has been one of the main public funding instruments for Culture in Portugal in recent years. Meeting the targets is significant for the country, given that failure to achieve the objectives could result in the loss of European funding.
