The Portuguese Communist Party considered that the Minister of Internal Administration, Luís Neves, has many explanations to give. This position was transmitted by the general secretary of the PCP, Jerónimo de Sousa, during the second day of the Avante! Festival, the party's annual event.
Questioned by journalists about the motion of censure against the Government, Jerónimo de Sousa did not reveal how the communists will vote, keeping the position in suspense.
The PCP's general secretary added that the situation is no longer exclusively the minister's problem, becoming a matter that concerns the entire Government.
The party thus maintains a cautious stance, without stating whether it will support or reject the motion of censure, but making it clear that the responsibility extends to the executive in its entirety.
