A survey conducted by GLOBO revealed that mobility is the main problem in Jacarepaguá, a region that brings together ten neighborhoods with distinct characteristics: Taquara, Tanque, Freguesia, Curicica, Anil, Gardênia Azul, Praça Seca, Pechincha, Cidade de Deus, and Jacarepaguá itself. The topic received 73.15% of the votes from readers who participated in the survey, surpassing the other eight available options.
The mobility problem translates into long hours of commuting, affecting residents, workers, and visitors in the region. This was the first time, since the beginning of the series of polls conducted by the Neighborhood Newspapers, that a single topic led the survey from start to finish, demonstrating the relevance and unanimity of the problem among respondents.
The survey will continue to explore this topic, with details to be published in the September 13 edition of GLOBO-Barra. Beyond the mobility issue, other options included topics such as gang violence.
