The City Hall of Teresina, through the Municipal Transportation and Traffic Superintendence (Strans), carried out traffic enforcement operations at two points in the city: Parque Ideal and Avenida Dom Severino. During these enforcement actions, 19 vehicles were removed from circulation, consisting of 2 cars and 17 motorcycles.
The irregular vehicles were taken to Strans lots. The owners of the seized vehicles will need to regularize their situation with the traffic authority to recover their property, which generally involves payment of fines and removal and storage fees.
The operation is part of the routine enforcement actions carried out by Strans to guarantee traffic safety and inspect vehicles that circulate without the proper documentation or in inadequate conditions.
The city of Teresina, capital of Piauí, maintains a constant schedule of traffic operations, focusing on areas with high vehicle and motorcycle traffic, such as the streets and neighborhoods mentioned in the operation.
