Train circulation on the North Line was restored at 12:20 on Saturday, September 5, in the Cartaxo area, after a signaling failure interrupted rail traffic in both directions for about an hour and 40 minutes.
The suspension of circulation began at 10:40, due to an incident at the Santana Resguardo technical station. Infraestruturas de Portugal, the company responsible for managing the railway network, confirmed to the news agency that the problem was resolved and that trains are now running normally.
CP – Comboios de Portugal stated that the interruption affected some long-distance and regional services. The transport operator did not specify, however, how many trains were affected by the disruption.
