Influencer Virgínia Fonseca voluntarily responded to the lawsuit filed by the Public Prosecutor's Office of the Federal District that demands from her and the Blaze betting website the amount of R$ 120 million for moral damages. The accusation involves "retention of deposits and misleading advertising".
The case is proceeding in the Justice Court of the Federal District and has both Virgínia Fonseca and the Blaze betting platform as defendants, which operated in partnership with the influencer.
Virgínia promised to present her defense by the end of the month, when the procedural deadline established by the Court for her official response to the accusations expires.
The billion-dollar amount demanded in the lawsuit refers to collective moral damages, and the case involves commercial practices questioned by the Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the operations of the betting website associated with the influencer.
